The General Election & The MADS Blog Awards

So today, we packed the kids up and headed to our local polling station. I felt really nervous actually. I have no idea how the whole “politics” thing works and I certainly haven’t been following each party to know what they are promising. I woke this morning and had a quick look over each party’s websites to see if anything caught my eye.

Whilst in the polling station I had this sudden heat go across my whole body. I was nervous. Was I about to make the right decision? More importantly, what the heck was I meant to do? This was my first time voting despite being able to vote for the past four years. I just haven’t felt I have the knowledge to vote for something I don’t understand. But Hubby said something to me that rung true… If you don’t vote then you cannot comment about the government. So I voted today.

More importantly, and something I do understand is that the MAD Blog Awards are now open for nominations. Back in 2013 I was nominated and felt completely humbled about it because it was my first few months of blogging. I didn’t win, of course I didn’t because quite frankly the other blogs were so much better and I was still a newbie. But I’m no longer a newbie. Blogging has become my life, something I think I’m beginning to understand and believe in. It’s my way of living.

Nominating is easy. Much easier than the Brilliance in Blogging Awards if I’m honest. Head over to the Tots100 website linked here or click the below badge and head to the awards section. All you need to do is enter your email address and then my blog url which is http://lifewithpinkprincesses.co.uk in case you need to copy and paste it. Nominations close on the 20th so please don’t delay.

I hope my little space on the web has helped you in some way, whether it’s to laugh at my sleepless nights as you have your teen children sleeping all day long, or just because I’ve been there for helpful tips, reviews and general reading material. Thank you for coming on my journey with me!
